Then follow the millions of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras as they make their annual great migration. Then go on to experience the beauty of Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site with an incredible concentration of wild animals including the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo.
And there's more to this wonderful land.
The Great Rift Valley is the longest trough on Earth. To the north of the country part of it runs in an ancestral setting rich in geothermal activity. If it's history you're after then its geological strata tell it all and trekking trails are designed to lead you in the tracks of our forebears. To the west there are the Great Lakes with their multicoloured fish and unchanged landscapes, just as the great explorers Livingstone and Stanley must have seen them. And deep in the forests of this land that time forgot you'll also find those beloved chimpanzees of the famous anthropologist Jane Goodall.

Then there's the 1000km of coastline on the Indian Ocean from Zanzibar to Mafia with their paradise beaches and the best scuba diving sites that the continent has to offer. The coast boasts a rich history of culture and trade between Africa and the East: there are old town centres, exotic ruins and the profound influence all this has had on Swahili culture.
